Wrote a really long blog...fell asleep and somehow the time ran out on blogstream...I was cut off and lost my installment for the day. Will catch you up tomorrow. Suffice it to say...Sis is safely home on Langley AFB and we had a wonderful time.

Hello Everyone!
I have been in Hilton Head visiting mom this week and we have had a great time. She was unable to write last evening because we were both coloring our hair. After hanging out at the beach all afternoon, we went to CVS to choose our colors. I think the people in the store thought we were a bit crazy. I have been coloring my hair for the last few years because of my thrifty husband, so I told my mom to choose a color from the "Loreal Color Expert" collection. For all of you ladies that color your own hair, this product has been written up in the once yearly Allure that publishes the best beauty products out there and was listed on the Today show when they reviewed the magazine's listings. Mom chose "butterscotch" and she looks great. We had fun.
Today, we plan on going to the bagel shop, catching some rays, attending the "nip and nibble" that her neighborhood is hosting at the beach house, and of course, going to Ocean's Thirteen. I watched Ocean's Eleven and Twelve this week in preparation. Mom was supposed to watch them with me, but she fell asleep.
Just to give you all a little update from Langley Air Force Base (AFB), my precious husband is going to be deployed. I will communicate more details to you through mom as things unfold. Basically, he will lead a C-CAT team which stands for Critical Care Air Transport Team. He will be stationed in northern Saudie Arabia and will fly into Balad and other "forward units" (frontline medical units) in Iraq and pick up wounded soldiers. He will then fly with them to Germany. They will then undergo any further stabilizing procedures and another C-CAT team will then fly the soldiers from Germany to the States. So Aaron's flight will be from his base in Saudie Arabia to Iraq to Germany and back. He will be there for 4 to 6 months. He is scheduled to leave September 10. Please keep him in your prayers.
Until he leaves we plan on having a great summer. We have moved on base and we both love it. We are very close to the hospital which makes call much more more convenient. We are also very close to the marina. We recently purchased mom's boat and will be able to walk about 150 feet to the base marina and enjoy the water this summer. Barney has a puppy life jacket and took his first boat trip with Aaron this week. Barney loves to swim and I think the greatest challenge is going to be keeping Barney in the boat.
Work is going well for both Aaron and me. In ob/gyn, there is always plenty of obstetrics, but gynecology is sometimes difficult to generate as a new practitioner. Because I am practicing at the base, the basic GYN is seen by the family practitioners and internal medicine docs, and we only see complicated GYN as referrals. This basically has generated lots of surgery for me which is what I love.

Worked this morning. While I was at TFM...Sis went to work out. Finished up at noon and hit the beach! It was a great beach day.
Sun, sand, a good book...and a diet coke! Doesn't get much better.

The days just seem to be flying...we worked in a manicure at 5p.m.
It's fun to pamper a really hard working girl.

After dinner, watched "The Queen"...Sis hadn't seen it.

Regarding the movie...It was terrible. Now, the New York Time, Variety and Entertainment Weekly gave it a score of 100...and the overall score of 88 was the highest of the movies reviewed. Whatever!!! This is a sad commentary on the taste of our movie critics. I don't consider myself a prude or a goofy old fossil...and I'absolutely certain that there are other words in our language in addition the to F word...which was all they used.

If I had to say something good...I'd say, Katherine Heigl's makeup artist did a great job. Save your $$$ and go see Shrek!

Up and to TFM today. Hated not being here with Sis. She was cool...went and worked out at my gym...and got some things done for me. It is so much fun to have her here...I love it!

Think we're off tonight to see a movie...probably "Knocked UP!" Will let you know how many stars we give it

This afternoon it rained like there was no tomorrow...but tomorrow is supposed to be a great day...so I think we'll beach it in the afternoon.
