Pastor Roy's message was wonderful this morning...he made Mt. 1:1-17 geneology interesting! That takes some doing! Way to go P.R.!

After the nursery, home to finish the cookbooks (they turned out really cute) and then wrap!  and, it's DONE!

Now on to working on Christmas for the single moms.  Their usual Wed. night dinner will be special this week.  Gifts for them and their little ones, as well as devotions.  Will use my nativity flannel graph that I used (all those years), for the kids at my house.  That will be fun to share the story and do devos with them.

As amazing as it seems...it's been 11 months today that I arrived here on HHI with Tik riding shotgun!  She's such a good "runnin' buddy"...and now here I am at 401...a thankful lady.  On January 17th, I'll say "thank you for all the help...love...and support"...but you know that's what's in my heart this morning.  As much as I felt my world stop on Nov. 28th, 2005...
events, friends, and our lives continued to move forward. The lessons continued...probably one of the biggest...that everyone at some point deals with staggering life events, and we are faced with choices that will eventually determine where we will be down the road. I stand amazed at the strength and resilience He gives.

Started out the day having breakfast with Elwood and Naomi at Harold's Diner. It's a favorite with locals...but definitely not a place you'd go into alone! It's one of those type of "joints" that the owner frequently insults the patrons. Here's the fun part...it's frequented by HHI's mayor and the city council!!!We had a great time. They have become so dear to me...and what a blessing they have been.

After an afternoon of Christmas prep...dressed and popped over to 604. Jeff and Linda, a lovely couple that live there, were hosting a holiday gathering for some of the Harbourmaster buds.

Fun munchies...and good fellowship were the gifts of the evening. Then back home to work on a cookbook for the girls. Am gathering the old favorite recipes and putting them into a notebook for them.

I think it's time to call it a day...church is at 9.

Met a gal at the nail salon...Nancy, a CPA. She's lovely and invited me to her holiday party at her home. Dressed, armed with a hostess gift ...and off I go to attend my first holiday party ...alone. Must admit...driving over, I couldn't help but wonder...how is this going to go? is this going to be a total mistake???

It was fine...met some very nice gals...and am thankful I went. Nancy and her husband couldn't have been nicer.

It was also a good day here at 401...got some sewing done...the girls groomed...and worked out.

Another step taken ...it was a good day.

It was basket day.  4 baskets were ordered...they came to $780.oo! That's some kind of basket!!! Then a lady came in...saw them...and ordered two for pick-up by 4 p.m. All together...6 baskets came to nearly $1,200.00. I loved doing them...love the large arrangements and large baskets.

After a busy day...it was time to kick-back. So a girlfriend and I headed to the Sea Shack for dinner. This place make McDonalds look swanky ....but the food is delicious. It's a favorite with locals...and gained notariety when Rachel Ray covered it on her "traveling on a budget segment."

After 10 hours on my feet...the couch was calling. Time to call it a day...it was a good day!

It was a busy day at work...and I thoroughly enjoy it.  It's such a funny little job...physically, I work hard...lifting and toting cases of flowers and gifts.... and I often feel guilty that I'm not caring for patients.  The staff is really dear, and as I've mentioned...they are literally from all over the world...Russia to Venezuela and then some! Sometimes I do a display...other times I help out is coffee/candy...and then, back to the flowers.  And...I love my boss.  She has been great.............gives me a lot of "creative license!"   I'm very fortunate to have stumbled onto this. It's been the perfect job for this particular time...as I moved down here and continue to learn to move forward.

It was lovely here today...so took "the girls" to the beach for a walk. They have learned to love their beach walks...and they actually behave. Miracles never cease!

This evening was Single Moms...and no choir. The Christmas Concert is over...and I really missed getting to sing with the group. There is a small group of 5 that routinely make up the praise team on Sunday.

Am falling asleep as I write. Since getting the Tae Bo tapes...I've been getting up to work out before work in the morning. That translates into a 5:00 a.m. get-up call!!! Sooooooooooo, time to get some sleep!
