 3/30/08 Darn...

This small town girl really wanted to see Davidson get into the Final Four as the Cinderella team!  They were terrific and so much fun to watch!  As Sissy said...they did a great job and need to be proud.  Speaking of Sis...had a great chat with her tonight....so much fun. We got to talk about the Derby.  She and her sister are going to wear hats, too!!!        Do you know how excited I am!  Crazy...     So we're talking and Sis says...what if something happens to a horse!   She's such an animal lover!

Also got to chat with DanaMarie as she was heading into the hospital to work 7 pm to 7 am.  She's good, too.  Bruce called, but missed him.  I was at Shelter Cove Mall looking for a dress for KiKi's shower at the time.

Time to chill...Have a great Monday.Much love, Sue

Arrived back from Jax...a.k.a. Jacksonville 3 hours late.  The traffic was a steady ribbon moving along I-95 at a snail's pace.  Snowbird's returning home, spring breakers and an accident were to blame.Attending the conference was a good thing.  Time spent getting to know the gals was another good step in getting aquainted at church. The music was like attending a contemporary concert.  The lessons were presented in a highly animated "Texas" fashion with good power point and visual aides.  The content was encouraging.Came home to a dozen beautiful red roses from the kids...with a note that read...get ready to "Run for the Roses!" Love, Anita, Aaron, Bruce, DanaMarie and Brian.  Instantly, I KNEW!!!  We were going to the Kentucky Derby...Hurray!!!  Have always wanted to wear a large hat, a pretty dress...and hear them sing "My Old Ky. Home"  ( It was on my Bucket List!)  Am soooooooooooo excited!!!  and know I'm blessed and have the best kids in the world.  Thankful I went...and thankful to be home.Have a great Sunday.Much love, Sue

 3/26/08 MUMC???????

Started off the day at TFM...stocked the flowers...did an arrangement...fluffled up the Olive Bar...and did a huge Passover display. The Matzoh and Manischewitz were looking good!

Zipped home...changed clothes and off to Savannah. Had a 2:30 app't with Amy in Talent Acquisition! How's that for a new name for HR??? Met and talked with Amy...really nice lady. Talked about some possible opportunities at Memorial. Having talked with Monica...I realized that they offer full benefits with some part time positions...full medical, eye and dental. That would be wonderful to get that...especially considering I'm presently paying over $550.00 a month just for health coverage...no eye or dental. We'll see. It was a good first step.

It felt good to be back "on campus" at the Medical Center. It's just "my turf" ...now to determine if it's time to "pull the plug" on my stethoscope and morph into something outside the box. One opportunity was dealing with grievance issues...another possibility is planning events for their development foundation. Then catch this...they are starting a med school. Told Amy that I love med students.........wouldn't that be great to get involved with that? We'll see. Like I said, it was just a first step...and a baby one at that.

Back to flowerland in the morning...and then to Jacksonville on Friday.
Hope the flowers start to peek their heads out in Ohioland!
It's a wrap.........from 401!
Much love, Sue
