 5/30/08 Go Indy!!!

Dinner at the Mellow Mushroom and then a movie with girlfriends. Great gals...really enjoy being with them. We saw Indiana Jones...what a romp! and an expensive one, at that!!!

Amy was happy with the flowers. Dropped them off this morning at her cottage in Bluffton. So glad when that was finished. Now on to full shower mode for next weekend.

Have some ideas.... ! Should be fun.
All for now from 401.
Night-night.
Much love, Sue
PS...Please pray for Eileen and the Bleyer family, er father is very ill. Thank you very much.

 5/28/08 half day...

Worked til noon...and then ran errands.

Gave a girlfriend an impromptu call...Dinner? Yes! Sometimes those spontaneous get togethers are the best. She took me to a terrific little place. It's off the beaten Hilton Head path...in Bluffton. Small...terrific food...definitely a place for a return visit. Dinner was delicious.

Then Peg took me for a little car tour of some of the local spots. Homes from the 1830's that hadn't been destroyed during the " War of Northern Aggression" ( as I've heard it referred to )...a gorgeous old church on the May River...Calhoun Street which is loaded with funky shops and art galleries....and a area where fresh sea food is cleaned and sold. Definitely want to go back and do an afternoon on foot.

Sissy is still having problems with her arm. Will get a scan tomorrow to see where we are. She'll call tomorrow after she knows something. Will keep you posted.

It's a rainy night in ...well, nearly Georgia.
Hope all is well in Ohio.
Much love, Sue
PS...Mitzi and Opal send their regards.

 5/27/08 Off today!

Since I worked Memorial Day... was off today. Continuing to play catch-up, but making progress.

Talked with Karen...Sandy's sister that lives in Atlanta. San will be there this weekend working on a family shower and wedding. Am planning on driving over Sat. morning...spending the day/evening on Saturday...going to church with them and then coming back to HHI Sunday. Really looking forward to seeing Sandy. The good part...will probably be much to busy to make it to Buckhead and see all those designer handbags. That's really a good thing believe me. Must avoid the temptation at all cost...or it just might win.

Ok...all for tonight...off to do paperwork.
Night...
Much love, S.

 5/26/08 Memorial Day

It was busy at the store...the day passed relatively quickly. Had a couple of return customers. One fellow walks in and asks, "Remember me?" Well, not really but I smiled and said...Please, help me remember. He said he was the guy that came in for roses for his anniversary and I made him also get rose petals, choc covered strawberries and champagne. He said, I wanted you to meet me wife...and here she is! She said she loved it and would be sending him back next year. Then...in walks this dear young man...and he says..."Hi, do you remember me?" It seems, he came in at Valentines Day, and I did 4 dozen roses in an arrangement for him. He said, another guy brought in a dozen...you made me look really good!
That was fun

To a Memorial Day Concert tonight with some gals from Harbourmaster. It was a preformance by the Hilton Head Choral Society. Lots of patriotic music...ending with the tribute to the various branches of the service. Always chokes me up.

Have a great week.
Much love, Sue
