They arrived on HHI at 5:30 !  When I called to see how they were progressing, they were on the island and getting on the toll road.  We had a nice supper and then watched the debate on CNN.  Unfortunately, it's raining and is going to continue for the next couple of days.  We'll still do our island tour...it'll just be a bit soggy...and then to Nip and Nibble tomorrow evening.

I did get to check  out the Hospice Thrift store and in a word...it's wonderful.  I couldn't believe the labels...Escada, Dana Buchman, Linda Allard for Ellen Tracy, Adrienne Vittadini,Banana, Jones, Liz, and on and on.  I was thrilled.  The gals were lovely. As I talked with them, they were all connected to the store by their own personal story...most with a family member or loved one that had suffered from cancer.  Toward the end of my visit, I found myself sitting and listening to one gal's story...she had two children...both of them dead...one to an accident and the other to suicide. Needless to say, I knew it was no mistake that I was there.
He continues to lead.

A quick day...TFM...single moms...and prepped for Bob and Rita's visit. Tomorrow after work...hope to check out the boutique that donates all proceeds to hospice.

Please pray for Bob and Rita as they travel.
It's a long drive...560 miles.

The boy can talk!...but.....

This is tough. What are they REALLY saying? I did find that at cnn.com we can click on Election Center 2008 and then click on Issues. Then we can click on each issue and read what they propose. Here's the rub...a bunch of it is political babble....but it's better than anything I've found so far.

A usual day at TFM and then out to Wild Wing with the Harbourmaster bunch. It's two for Tuesday !

Still working on getting a shop for the fashion show. Please put that on your list!...TX.

The day after I say goodbye to the kids is always a tough one. Thank heavens for precious girlfriends and the phone. Thanks for your calls.

Chatted with Bob and Rita Schelble this morning. They are happily sitting out Wisconsin's bitter Feb. cold and heavy snows in Orange Beach, Alabama.
Good News...they want to come and check out HHI and 401! They plan to drive in on Thursday and stay til Sat. Friday is Nip and Nibble...so I'll do my best to show them the island and then introduce them to my Harbourmaster buds.

Worked today on finding a source for the fashions for the upcoming single moms fashion show. April 12th is right around the corner. Talked with the manager of a consignment shop that donates all proceeds to the local hospice. Hope to get over there tomorrow and see what they have. Will keep you posted.

After a great weekend in Louisville and Salem, I'm back home this evening.

Friday I arrived in Louisville at 11:30 a.m. and DanaMarie picked me up at the airport. I was in Linda's kitchen by 1. She had everything under control. A big "Welcome Home, Aaron" hung over the driveway...balloons and a cake were in the house. Family arrived at 5:30 and Sis and Aaron came thru the door at 6:00. It was controlled joyful chaos...brothers, sister's in law, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends were everywhere. DanaMarie and Brian came in from Louisville:)... It was wonderful...and I was sooooooooo thankful that I could be there. Nick and Linda were thrilled to have their youngest son home. It was a great time.

Coffee-time with Sis in the next morning is a real favorite. I love talking and tossing ideas around with her. Finished my time in Salem around the breakfast table talking with Linda and Aaron.

Hopped in the car and in an hour I was at DanaMarie and Brian's front door. How lucky am I...once in Louisville at the kids house, I am an hour from Nick and Linda in Salem and an hour from Pam and Barry in Lexington. I "get it" and don't take it for granted. When Sis and Aaron move to Bloomington, In. the summer of 2010...with Bruce in C'bus, everyone will be within 3 hours...piece of cake!

We kicked back and watched Kentucky basketball Sat. afternoon...that's fun with Bri...and then got dressed for dinner. The kids picked out a terrific Brazilian restaurant and Pam and Barry came in from Lexington...loved that!... dinner was insanely delicious ...it was a terrific time. Tx, PJ&BS!

Up Sunday morning...good bye to our sweetie, Buckeye...flew out at 12:20 and into Savannah at 3:30! That was perfect! Loved being with DanaMarie and Brian...and then...back home to HHI. Just the right amount of time! The short hops for a weekend are so much easier than a week or 10 days away.

The good news is that since I must share my girls...it's with great families that truly love them. We are blessed.
