The phone rang early this morning...it was Sis. She was calling to let me know that Aaron's flight home was canceled. They are handling this by focusing on doing whatever is needed to get Aaron on the next flight home. Please keep them in your prayers...and I'll keep you updated as we go along.

Watched the Packers and the Giants...darn. Not the outcome I was hoping for...poor Brett. Will watch the Super Bowl at church. They do a big party...food, fun and the game. Apparently it's a good time.

They are really pro sports bunch. One of the assistant pastors is a tennis pro..........(tennis is really big down here.) And, Stan Smith is a member at Grace. I don't know who he is ...but I understand that he's a big deal in tennis circles.

CNN just declared McCain the winner in the SC primary. The man is a lesson in resilience and discipline.

Tomorrow I'll be "doing the next thing"...in this case, working in the nursery and spending the afternoon with one of the single moms, her son and the little guys father and grandmother in a supervised visitation. Talked with Sis. She's planning menus and making plans for Aaron's return and a visit from Nick and Linda. DanaMarie and Brian are in Lexington for Jason's (remember the very long wedding toast ) birthday party. Tomorrow I'll look forward to a Sunday chat with Bruce. As Knute used to say, "Life keeps coming."

Meanwhile, today was a quiet rainy day at 401. A good day to look forward and of course, to look back. One year ago, was my first day here...Tik and I had a good time...and I was settling into the rental unit. At that point, just looking forward to "coming aside to rest."

As I was cleaning today, looked around and thought to myself, "I love this little place." ( must confess, there are times I think...I'll never get to do my dream house...then I give myself a shake.) This is enough...and enough is good.

Can't help but wonder what the next year will bring. No clue. I do know that when Anita called to wish me a Happy New Year, she said, "we made it to 2008! It's a good thing."

One step closer to a "new normal."

Got a call from Sis today............she was absolutely screaming with joy!!! ...she was sooooooooooooo incredibly excited. She had talked with Aaron and it looks like he'll be coming home soon. I'm not allowed to say the date...but it's sooner rather than later. Please keep them in your prayers.

A year ago tonight that I was packed up and ready to head out to Hilton Head with "TiK" riding shotgun. What a year it's been. Thank you for your continuing love and support.

...between the writer's strike (which is really getting old) and our hero, Jack, who (I think) is still in the slammer ...24 is nowhere to be seen.  It's a sad January for those of us that are addicted to Agent Bauer and the CTU crew.  Come back, Jack.  We need our adrenalin fix!

It was soooooooooooooooo quiet today at TFM, I was absolutely bored into a coma!  Ugh! Not good...so much better to be busy.  The next bit of craziness will be Feb. 14th and a bizillion red roses...and equally as many Godiva chocolates.  That will be fun. 

My exciting news...Janney's coming down next week.  She'll arrive Thursday and stay til Monday.  The last time she was here...I worked her socks off, and she had to climb over mountains of boxes to get anywhere.  We'd work til 11:00 pm and then collapse with cheeseburgers and fries at the Hilton Head diner.  Think I better treat her a little better this time. There's a Red Dot Sale at SteinMart! That'll make her happy
