It was a crazy, busy day at the store. Then, to top it off...one of the "big muck-ey-mucks" from corporate came down. It's an interesting process to watch...they come in...walk around...say what they "don't" like and then walk away...but don't give direction for corrections to implement what they "do" want...in an effort to try and make improvements based on what they "think" would please the "big muck-ey-muck!" everyone scurries about...and things get moved around the store. Quite a game! In hospital terms...it would be like the doctor coming into the room and says "I think the patient has a disease"...and leaves without orders for a treatment plan. Retail is definitely it's own world!

Out tonight for dinner with my Harbourmaster buddies. Went to Wild Wings. They do a season opener for the "locals" once the vacation season is over. Elwood and the gang know where all the "specials" take place. Then to the gym...watched "Dancing With The Stars" while I was doing my own dance on the EFX! It's actually a great way to watch my show.

TFM in the morning... workout with Christina @1pm ...meet with Pastor Roy @ 3pm to talk about the ministry to single moms...choir practice @ 6:15pm. I better go to bed and get some rest!!! Sleep well...

It's Monday...Bruce's last day here. . It was a great visit. We had lunch on the beach...He's such a beach guy. It's obvious that he loved every minute of "beach time." Thankfully, the weather co-operated...it was a beautiful day.

After beaching it...it was time to head to Savannah/HiltonHead Airport. Took Bruce to the airport for a 6pm flight. He called at 9:45 ...and had arrived safely in C'bus.

Am sad tonight...that always happens when one of the kids leave. It's a small price to pay for a great visit.

Back to TFMin the morning.

Bruce came with me to church this morning. He met Pastor Roy...and saw Grace Comm. Church. It was great to have him there...and show him in person all I had been telling him. I loved it...then back to 401 and time to hit the beach.

It was a wonderful "summer day"...lots of sun and in the 90's. Bruce is as tan as can be...and looks terrific. After 6 hours, a great chat and a good sun coma...we dragged ourselves back to Harbourmaster. No Wally sightings yet....think it's still to hot for the ole' boy.

Tonight, we went down to Sea Pines and had a burger at the Quaterdeck. The burger was good...but the boats were better. There were some gorgeous yachts in the harbor. Bruce loves the boats...so we walked around and checked them out....and he took lots of pics of the boats.

It was a relaxing, easy day.

Literally fell asleep with the computer on my lap last night. Had a relaxing rainy day on Friday. Lots of time to chat and catch up.

My biggest concern ...the weather! It would be awful to have Bruce come to the beach and have it rain the entire time. Well, good news...after Friday's rain...today the sun came out to make a beautiful day. We were on the bikes and riding at 9a.m....did 10 miles...back for breakfast and then to Hilton Head harbor to find Scott and hop onto his boat. It was a great time with lots of dolphin watching and the best part was seeing Bruce wakeboard. It was a terrific time on the water. Then back to Shipyard...to the beach...and headed back to 401 at 7 p.m. A total two thumbs up kind of day... topped off with a great dinner at Shrimp Michael's.

A Busy Day! Work was nonstop. Did two baskets for a real estate agent that sold one of those mega houses on the water down in Sea Pines. 36x15...they were big! and decorated with bittersweet twigs and berries ...and orange and sage colored ribbon. Fortunately, the lady was thrilled...said she'd be back. That's a good thing...these two came to $250.00 Then outside to do a display with bales of hay...pumpkins...mums...twigs and berries. Then in to do 6 bags of rose petals. Asked the customer when she would like them. She replied...in 30 minutes! The customer is always right

After work...of to the grocery store. The phone rings...it's Bruce. He's getting in at 7 rather than 11:30. That's the good news. The bad news is ...I was so excited to get going...I left my purse in the cart. The good news is...I realized it...called Publix...someone had picked it up...brought it in...and it was in the safe. Oh my gosh...I was so fortunate...thankful...and felt like a dummy all at the same time. (Please...Don't tell a soul...shhhhh) )

Got home...showed him 401...and we sat down to tomato soup and toasted ham and cheese sandwiches....and chocolate chippers. It is just so nice to see him.
