 9/19/07 24:-)

Am so excited...in 24 hours Bruce will be in Savannah ! Hopefully, his plane will arrive on time at 11:30! Can't wait .

TFM was fun today. I made up a number of baskets using the Halloween "stuff" and believe me...there's oodles of it. What's surprising is how expensive their candy is. I was shocked! Definitely not Giant Eagle prices.

Choir practice was a challenge...but not just for me. The music has unusual tempos and some tough harmony. It was fun! I met a couple of gals that also sing soprano. One's a single mom and the other gal is a hairdresser! I think we might be on to something...I liked her hair color! Both just moved to the island. Maybe I can get a second job in her salon..."Will Work for Haircolor!" What do you think?

It was a good day...
I'm bushed. Take care and good night.
Love, Sue
P.S....and in the midst of things, I made it up to Beach City Fitness and got pounded by Christina!! Thank heavens for Advil.

 9/18/07 just beautiful...

It was just an amazing day here today. In the 80's...and gorgeous! Made me want to ditch TFM. ...but I didn't. The truth is...I really enjoy the people at work. At this point, can't imagine leaving. I often think...I need to get moving on my SC license and start using my brain again ... see if it still works! We'll see on that!

Christina and choir practice tomorrow. Christina is the trainor at my gym. She hasn't lost her touch. She can find muscles that I haven't been aware of in a really long time. Long story short...she's adorable and brutal all at the same time.

The choir practice experience is new. Last week, they gave out the music and a CD with your particular part...i.e., soprano, alto...you've got it. So went over the music tonight to start learning it. It's a very eclectic collection with lots of different textures of music, for the Christmas Concert. Love the music...not so sure about the singer! We'll see on that one, too!

That's all from 401 tonight!
Take care...Love, Sue

 9/17/07 8 months...

Arrived here in HHI 8 months ago. The time has flown by. Am so thankful to be at this point and settling in.

Heard from Aaron today in a really funny letter. His email is...
aaron.leis@auab.centaf.af.mil He is doing well and his spirits are good.

It was a good day...worked out, worked at 401, walked the beach and had dinner with Karen Hamilton (it was a gorgeous day), and really looking forward to Bruce's visit.

TFM @ 7 a.m.
Sleep well...Love, Sue

 9/15/07 coffee on the deck...

Had coffee this morning on the deck with Norm and Suzy...overlooking their beautiful mountain spot. It was just wonderful.

Had a lovely time at a local art show. In true Asheville "mountain" fashion, it included sheep shearing, step dancers, wood whittlers, weavers, and a host of other artisans.

Tomorrow, it's my Sunday to take care of the babies, so hopped in the car at 3:30 to drive back to HHI.

Have a great day...
Love, Sue

 9/14/07 Rosh Hashanah in Asheville...

It always just ..."feels right" when we get together. I walked into Suzy and Norms and instantly felt at home.

The drive was an easy 5 hours, with only the last hour in the rain. It was a quick temperature change, 90 on HHI...to 68 up here in the mountains. On the way, I listened to the audio book...the Secret. Figured that I was the only person left on the planet that didn't know what the "Secret" was...so I'd better get informed. It was interesting. More importantly, the drive was well worth the homemade matzo ball soup that we had for dinner. Suzy knows it's my favorite...and I was thrilled. We ate apples and dipped them in honey for a sweet New Year. Ericka did a wonderful job saying the blessings.

Time with Ericka watching a movie and late night conversation with Suzy and Norm made it a wonderful evening. I am so thankful for them. They have been a huge blessing in many ways.

Suzy and I plan to do a little shopping tomorrow. You can imagine how much fun we have.
Have a great weekend.
Love, Sue
