It was a good day. Sunny this morning til around 4 this afternoon. Some of the gals are now laying out at the pool.

Finished up a number of things...paperwork, housework, outdoor chores, and cleaned that unbelievably dirty car of mine. It has been terribly neglected since the work on the fashion show began. Am glad to have is nice and clean again...it was awful. Thought I was going to get a moving violation for "junk of wheels!"

Fell asleep while I was writing...guess that means it's time to turn out the light.

Christina put me thru my paces this morning...love her. Good pain!

Had lunch today with Peg Yelverton...met her at Grace.  ...a really good gal.  She and her husband live in a cottage on the May River.  It's amazing...if you can picture On Golden Pond a la' South Carolina...you got it.  Built in the '40's...long lane...live oaks with Spanish moss...sunny screened in porch...a swing hanging on a branch from an old oak...right on the water...long docks out to the river where you see folks kayaking and skiing...pleasantly done with antique furniture...it's so cozy and inviting.  Wish I could take you there.  We had a great time.

Also got a copy of the pictures from the fashion show.  The good news...I'll be able to bring it home and show you.  That will be fun.Here's the bad news...she served a spinach salad.  In the past...that's been a problem...esp. after my surgery.  Thought...it's been long enough...no problem......NOT SO!  Oh dear...most unpleasant.  Hence...on the couch this afternoon and tonight! I feel fine now.

It was absolutely gorgeous here today. 84 and not a cloud in the sight.

That and a great chat with Sis were the best part of the day. She is on call at Langley tonight and we chatted while she was in her office doing paperwork. She sent me a pic of one of the babies that she delivered...just wish you could see it. Looks like one of those precious little munchkins that Anne Geddes photographs. Adorable.

Tomorrow will workout at the gym with Christina (that's always an Advil experience) and then have lunch in the afternoon with Peg. She is in charge of the women's ministries at Grace and we worked together on the fashion show. Nip and Nibble with my Harbourmaster buddies will round out my Friday.

Completed the last task to wrap up the fashion show by returning "the coat" and the wedding gown. Certainly one of my favorite parts of the entire process was getting to know the gals from hospice. We parted with hugs and they tried to make me an offer I couldn't refuse...the coat for $1000.00. No...I didn't get it...but boy was it tempting. They think the show should be an annual event!

Heard from Pam...the kids called to check on Buckeye! They said the weather's great and they're having a good time. Loved hearing that .

Single Moms tonight. Talked about plans for the summer and next year. They are interested in meeting through the summer and agreed to do a Bible Study in the fall. Good...it's time to study.

Aren't "usual" days great?!!! I think so. Nothing special...just the pleasant comfort of your own space and routine.

Worked...spent time with Mitzi and Opal...out to dinner with the Harbourmaster buds...home tonight to watch a little TV and read. Love days like today! I'm developing a "new normal." Not what I ever dreamed...but have learned to be content. (...but if the dear Lord ever decides to give me a big house on the water...I'll take it !).
