A really ordinary day. TFM 7-4p...home...prepped for Suzy, Norm and Ericka's visit. They'll be in around 2p.m. It will be wonderful to see them. Praying for good weather.

Cleaning day and Hilda is in the building! Translation: I'm cleaning and really, really miss Sherri. It's just not as much fun without her. Sherri if you're reading this...You Are Missed! Actually, got so involved washing windows...I completely forgot about Bible Study. Hmmmmmmmmm... ...wonder if the ole "cleanliness is next to Godliness" will count? Certainly hope so.

Chatted with Bruce and DanaMarie. They are busy and working like crazy. DanaMarie was to get out early and stayed over to help out with a case that had been "rescheduled." Long story short...it seems that every OR has at least one surgeon that operates under the premise that the OR schedule exists to revolve around them. I can see you smiling...you know the type. And you guessed it...that's the room DanaMarie was assigned to. He was verbally "less than pleasant"...but by the end of the case, decided that Dana was good, so he decided to switch his m.o. and become Dr. Sweetie. Little did he know who he was dealing with. She's no dummy...didn't fall for that...reported to her attending...and kept her cool! That's my girl!

Last night at about 11pm...I was on the couch watching a movie. All of a sudden a huge CRASH!!! came from the other end of the condo. Ran in...didn't know what to expect. The glass shelves in the kitchen cabinets had given away...tumbled down...breaking dishes along the way. "$#%^&*()_(*&^%$#%^&*()*&^%$#@!" Bad Words...Bad Words... Decided I just couldn't face the mess...and clomped off to bed. Unfortunately, the mess waited for me...and was still there this morning when I got up. Got it cleaned up before church. New shelf hooks from Home Depot...a broom...some windex...a lot a patience...and we're back in business. What a mess that was!

Cleaned the decks...worked on the flowers...Elwood taught me how to put clorox in this pipe so the lines don't become clogged. Put the grill together...put a little shelf for the bathroom together...talked to all 3 kids...that's a good thing...and Jamie called...that's wonderful...guess that's enough.

Talked with Suzy and Norm...they're coming in on Wed.

Went to Nip and Nibble last night with the Harbourmaster bunch. Once home, tried to blog. My computer froze up! Not a clue as to what that was about...something about CPU's and only 56 lines of memory.

Hmmmmmmmmm... ...need to find a computer person down here. Started it up this morning...had to reload something for aol...and things started back up again. Would love to see what the new ones with VISTA are all about...but instead will get this one whipped into shape. So if I miss a few days...it means I found someone to work on it and she's in the shop!

Still really warm down here... expect it to storm tonight.

A shopping day for finishing touches...flowers...and a couple of things for the walls. Will be pulling things together and then have time to get back into a routine workout at the gym. That's not going to be pretty! I don't know how the girls do it...They can go thru med school...then residency...and still work in time to work out. I know they both get up and hit the treadmill before going to the hospital. That's great for them...but me on a treadmill at 4:30 a.m.... Not Happening! Those of you that have see me before 9 a.m. understand.

Oops...Fell asleep watching the news. Wanted to see what they said the heat index was today so I could tell you. They reported the temp. at 99-100degrees and a heat index of 114-119. I think that's the hottest day I've ever seen!!! Made me think of a report I saw about our boys over in Iraq. They are in full gear...hat, long sleeves down to boots in a humvey (sp?) and can't open the windows. Kind of made today seem balmy!

Got everything done in the floral dept... got bored...so went up to bag for the register gals. That's kind of fun...you talk to customers and help them out to their cars. (I was offered tips a couple of times! tee-hee ) Got to thinking...maybe it's time to get a real job...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ! Then went over to the candy dept and whipped the Jelly Belly's into shape. My new favorite flavor...Watermelon!

With all this crazy weather decided to get my "hurricane kit" together. I now have:

1. a flashlight
2. personal documents organized and together in accordion file folder
3. a little black dress that will take me anywhere!
