Just couldn't write yesterday. As I've mentioned in the past...sometimes there are just "no words" to express what you feel.

Today... started at square one and told myself to "do the next thing." That meant getting to work at 7 a.m. ...then the next thing was to drive off the island to Bluffton and TCB. Take care of business...get a drivers license, license for the car and submit papers for taxes.

Got a call from Lynne tonight. Loved that!...and... That reminds me...thank you for your calls and emails the past few days. They have meant the world. It was difficult being here and so far away from you...your calls and notes helped more than you know.

I just finished making plans to return to Ohio. I'll be flying in to C'bus on Oct. 27th. Am working on a gathering of the Ya-ya's for the evening of the 28th. Please check your calendar...and save the date!

The sun was shining today...not a cloud in the sky...a beautiful hot summer day. Just the way summer is supposed to be...but try as I might to be grateful for "the gift of the day"...it was wrapped in such saddness. My heart is hurting for a very precious lady who now has to learn what widowhood means.

To those of you there...thank you for all you're doing. From personal experience, I know the power and comfort of your love and support. You're amazing...It was like a healing balm poured over my raw, shattered heart. I'll wait here and help when I can.

At Grace this morning. Went to services and then stayed to take care of the little ones.

Spent the rest of the day running errands, shopping and then back to 401. The best part...got to talk to all three kids. They are doing well. Sooooooooooooo, thankful for them. Whenever it's a tough day, I close my eyes...see their faces...and know how blessed I am.

Due to a very rainy South Carolina day...decided to cancel a shopping trip to Charleston. This weekend there is no sales tax on clothing, so it's a big shopping weekend. It was good to stay home and work around here at 401.

Dinner tonight at a great little Italian Restaurant with friends...off the beaten path...not the touristie kind. Now to settle in and watch one of my all time favorite Paul Newman movies, Exodus. I love Kitty and Ari.

Now to settle in and enjoy the movie.
