A good morning at Grace CC...then to get some things done here at home. Then time to connect...

Heard from Shirley. All is well on Delaware...with the exception of the chipmunks that are eating her flowers. Shirl is not happy...watch out Chip and Dale!

Talked with DanaMarie...Bruce...and Sissy. They are doing well...all three are working their socks off. Will see Bruce here in Sept...the girls in Oct.

To dinner tonight with a girlfriend.

Yes, you guessed it...it rained. Chairs were moved into the Beachclub main hallway...most of us stood...and in true "the show must go on" spirit...it was lovely. Everyone had a wonderful time and the rain did not put a "damper" on Sarah and Henry's wedding day. Elwood, the former construction company "Boss", was reaching for his hanky as big tears rolled down his happy cheeks. Naomi, at 80y/o, looked adorable. I told her she looked beautiful and she said, "don't I always !"

The family is originally from Pennsylvania, so there were lots of references to the Steelers and the Pennsylvania Polka was a special request. I'm absolutely certain that they're exhausted, but it's a happy tired.

Tomorrow, it's Grace Community in the morning and the beach in the afternoon...that's assuming the rain will be done and the sun will be shining.

Time to ditch the 3 inch heels.

The "refinisher guy" was early this morning. It took most of the day...I peaked...and it looks nice and white . Hope it sticks!

Popped over to TFM to do the arrangements. The MOB and bride were happy with the flowers for the rehearsal dinner. That's a good thing.

The rehearsal event this evening was lovely. Elwood and Naomi are so excited. It's been fun getting to know the family. I sat with the Harbourmaster crowd. They're a good bunch.

There's a 40% chance of rain tomorrow...with scattered thundershowers. The past 3 days have been incredible...not a cloud in the sky. Sure hope it holds for one more day. (That 40% is the reason I told the girls that I do whatever I could to make their weddings wonderful...BUT, an outdoor wedding was not an option! Hope the kids luck out.)

It was a good day...Worked 7-4p. 5 arrangements for a bridal shower, 2 for a rehearsal dinner, 2 beer buckets, 4 hostess gifts...and a partridge in a pear tree !!! It really is fun and I am so thankful for the creative license they give me.

Tomorrow will be busy... 9 a.m. the shower refinisher arrives (will let you know how that turns out)...then to TFM to do some arrangements for Elwoods granddaughter's rehearsal dinner...next to the beachhouse to help decorate...clean the car...and last but not least...to attend the evening event at the beachhouse.

Heard from Tik today...she and Marshall will be visiting next week ! That's good news...Really looking forward to that!

Set your recorder... tomorrow evening Larry King is doing his show on the health care crisis.

Hope you saw Larry King last night. Would have loved to call everyone and say...turn it on! Larry interviewed Michael Moore and Dr. Sanjay Gupta . Sanjay did a wonderful job stating the data in a straightforward, unbiased, educated manner...Michael Moore jumped all over the place...contradicted himself...and obviously has no background in research or reviewing data. Sanjay...looked great! Michael just looked like a wacko with a personal agenda. I could go on... Enough about that. Oh...what the heck... when he gets chest pain...hope he's in Havana! There...I feel better!!! (I'd bet that Larry has them back again at some future date.)

Dinner with a girlfriend tomorrow night and Elwood's granddaughter's wedding this weekend.

The alarm goes off at 6a.m.
