Arrived back on Hilton Head on Sunday...actually, I was on time! Go Delta .

Bible Study was last night. There are some really nice gals that go. (I still haven't said anything...quiet and slow...that works.)

It's a true Hilton Head summer day here...warm, some might say hot...with a nice breeze in the shade.

Worked today. It was nice to get back and see everyone. Did 5 baskets for a nice young man that is starting a new business on the island that offers skiing and all the water sports, as well as dolphin cruises, ect. You can be certain that I did a good job! ...and that I met this guy!!! I want someone like that in my circle for the kids and friends when they come down. Wouldn't that be great. Will head out to check things out as soon as I can.

Elwood and Naomi's granddaughter's wedding is this Saturday. I've been asked to help with some flowers for the entrance and the bar. It's at the Beach Club here in Shipyard and they are sooooooooooo
excited. I know how they feel...let's get some good weather prayers going for them

The past week certainly flew by. I mentioned to Rox that I felt like I didn't do a good enough job of getting around. Not enough time...
guess it's a blessing in disguise...if I didn't have such wonderful friends and care so much...I wouldn't have a problem. Will be back in Oct. to work on KiKi's shower and visit some more . We can do this!

"On the road again..." Left Akron this morning and headed to Hartville for a very special time with a precious girlfriend. I'm so very thankful for our time together...please keep your arms wrapped around her in prayer. Thank you...I know...and she knows that you will.

Then to visit Holy Cross...Dan's birthday is Monday. No words....

One more stop...on Firestone Blvd...Oma was home. It was fun to have her hop into the convertible...go for a ride...and something to drink...and head back to her home. It was a lovely visit. She looks wonderful and is doing great.

Didn't get to see Bob and Marion. Stopped by Friday, but no one was home. Will try again in October when I visit.

Back in the car for the final drive...to C'bus. Got to celebrate Bruce's birthday with his "Columbus family." He has wonderful friends. I am so thrilled that I was here to be a part of the evening.

During my drive time, I've listened to Anerson Cooper's audio book...
Dispatches from the Edge. He tells his story...the loss of his father at the age of 10 and then the suicide of his brother. He writes so well, and says so many of the thoughts and feelings that I have felt in my heart. If you have time...it's very insightful.

Had coffee this morning with Shirley and then headed to I-80. Wendy was home and we were off to lunch and then a quick trip to TJ's !!! So good to see her and get caught up on my CCF buds. Also got some paper work done and a new sticker for the car. My plates had expired and I was sooooooooo thankful to get that handled. I had popped in to the BMV in S.C....it's going to be a pistol getting everything changed over!

Breakfast this morning in Salem...Dinner tonight in Akron!

Had a great time around the breakfast table. Aaron talked more about his upcoming deployment to the Middle East. Linda and Nick will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary on July 8th. Linda, Aaron's Mom, got out her wedding album, and we had a great time looking at pics from their special day.

Then hopped into my car and headed to Akron. Arrived at 5:15...then to celebrate Shirley's b'day at Papa Joe's for dinner with Joe, Janney, Bill, Tik and Marshall. It was a wonderful time to celebrate a great lady! Happy Birthday, girlfriend!

Tomorrow will be paper work...checking out the storage unit here that still contains Christmas decorations...seeing friends in Cleveland...and trying to pack in as much as I can.

Certainly this trip has been a two sided coin...one side...the blessings of getting to see the kids and some dear friends...and the other side... the frustration of not having enough time to get to everywhere I'd like to. The Cinci and Salem side trips have taken time away from my Akron visit...but that was unique to this trip.

Happy 4th of July. Hope everyone has a safe and joyful holiday. Anita and I came back for the week to see the folks. I was really eager to come back to see them before heading to the Middle East. My main job will be to function as the Intensive Care Unit Physician in the back of an otherwise cargo plane transporting critically wounded soldiers from the battlefield to the more definitive care, usually Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (Germany). On occasion I may luck out and transport a patient to Walter Reed (WASH DC)...Anita may get to come and see me if we time it right. The official tasking is called the Critical Care Transport Team, (CCATT). Anyhow I'm not real hyped about going, but I am sure that's once it's over I'll be proud I did. Take care, Aaron
