5 hours to Salem, Indiana. Lots of time to enjoy the scenery. As a little girl, the saying was...the sweet corn should be "knee high by the 4th of July." Well, no problem in Indiana...it's over my head in many places and looks great.

Arrived at Aaron's parents, Nick and Linda Leis's home, around 5 p.m. Had a lovely evening with the family. It's a really great bunch. All four Leis boys and their families were here...including the 7 grandbabies. It was a great time.

Tomorrow the big gathering happens around 1-2 in the afternoon. Apparently it's quite a time...hay rides, pony rides, cook-out and the Leis Family Fireworks Show. Will be fun to tell you more tomorrow night. All for now..........Have a wonderful 4th!

So sorry about last night! It was a wonderful day...and it ended even more wonderful. After the fireworks, I arrived at Cindy and Tom's at 1 a.m. It was a special time...and got to bed after 3 a.m. A great day...with amazing friends...( but not enough sleep) ...but it was sooooooo worth the loss of sleep.

Time this morning with Nancy, E. and Rox...also got to see Eileen Benson at Panera's. We are still heck on wheels at TJ's !!!

Then off to C'bus........a great dinner with Norm, Suzy and Ericka.
Then to Salem tomorrow to see Sis and Aaron. DanaMarie and Brian will get in on the 4th.

Took an extra bit to get going this morning. Them to Akron. Had a wonderful time at Portage Lakes watching the fireworks. Am so pooped right now, I think you could set them off next to me and I wouldn't move. More tomorrow. Love, Sue

Had coffee and a nice morning in Bruce's screened in porch. So leisurely and fun.

In the car and outta C'bus at noon. Arr. Cinci at 2:15...for lunch and a great "catch up" chat with Sandy and Soma. She's 35 weeks prego, has gained on ly 22 lbs...and looks great....that's Soma not Sandy !!!

Then back in the car and to a park in Cinci for DanaMarie's girlfriend's wedding. It was lovely.

Arr. back at Bruce's at 12 midnight. Whew!!! Good Night!

Today was a great treat!!! For the first time in I can't remember how long...my flights arrived ON TIME! Having said that...heaven only knows what awaits me this week.

Had a great time with Ericka (Suzy and Norm, too:)...Then to Bruce's. He has done a lot of cool things to his home...and he fixed us a terrific dinner! The guy can cook!!! Who knew ???
