 5/27/07 Sunday morning...

Worked in the nursery this morning. My co-worker was a lovely 25 y/o hispanic mother of two. She has two daughters 2y/o and 7 mos. We had a great time...a wonderful chat...and I learned something very interesting. She is a single mom and there is a program at church for single mothers. Wow!!! (...I have been convinced for a very long time that by far...the world's toughest job is being a single mom.) Hmmmmmmmmmm...wouldn't it be wonderful to help?...Absolutely! ...even if it was to babysit while they went to the grocery store. ( I remember some of my trips to Fazios with two very busy girls. It was insane...and I was convinced they were possessed by something evil:) Will call the church on Tuesday and see about it.

Tried to write yesterday...Memorial Day Weekend...I had no words. Phil 4:8 kept coming to mind "...whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, pure, lovely, of good report, think on these things..." So I thought on the good things...and "did the next thing." Of course, that meant unpacking another box !

CNN us running an excellant special called Combat Hospital focusing on ER care in the US Military's Main War Hospital, the 10th Combat Support Hospital in Iraq. Really well done...wish you could see it...(they are going to air it again tomorrow at 3PM) ...it helps me understand a little bit what Aaron will be seeing. The special features ER docs and nurses doing what according to them is cutting edge emergency care. Aaron has finished in San Antonio with the C-130 training and is home in Norfolk with Anita and Barney. DanaMarie was in a classmates wedding this weekend in Dayton...and Bruce is busy prepping for a picnic at his house for the summer interns. Next week at this time Sis will be here! Hurray!!! All the more reason to hit it now so we can play while she's here. Am off tomorrow and hope to clear a path though my room upstairs.

All for now...hope you have a great day tomorrow. Love, Sue

 5/25/07 flowers...

Ordered flowers today to place on Dan's grave. The waves of disbelief still come. Thankfully, Tik and Marshall will place them for me. They have been and continue to be a wonderful source of support...each step of the way.

Continued to work on getting things "in their place." As I unpack, so many things here have been gifts from you. They are a wonderful, tangible reminder of precious friendships, love, support and many good times. So,... a Springsteen CD, a teapot, a wicker chair, ...on and on...are all precious reminders of very precious friends. Thank you for warming up the place! Love, Sue

 5/24/07

My heart has been very heavy the past two days. I was told that Sue Wells Langford has lost her husband due to sudden cardiac death. Please keep her in your prayers as she walks thru these very difficult days. Thank you so much, I know you will.

Jannie leaves early...we're leaving at 5 a.m. I will miss her helping hands and wonderful heart...

Love, Sue

5/23/07 still moving...thank heavens for Jannie

No news...still downsizing. Easier said than done. Thank heavens for Jannie... This has most definitely been the most difficult move I've experienced. No basement to use as a staging/storage area... Yikes... Progressing to be sure...but it is still a long way from completed. Time to do the next thing...sleep! Good Night! Love, Sue

 5/22/07 Yessssssssssssssssss!!!

Jannie arrived on time at 10:20 this morning. Remember the western shows when you were little...? ...and remember when one of the characters was backed into a corner and fighting it out...then all of a sudden you'd hear the bugle and over the rise you'd see the calvary coming Seeing her come through the doors at the airport was just like seeing the calvary arrive...help was on the way...Hurray!!!

We arranged and rearranged...and emptied boxes galore! Watched Idol and Dancing tonight! More tomorrow! and all in time for the Penney's delivery tomorrow.
