5/16/07 a good day...and yet the waves come

It was a good day. Sherri is doing an amazing job running things at 416 Silk Ct. Thank you, thank you to Sherri...and Tik, Marshall, Roxie, Cindy, Lynne and Jannie. They were packed and out of there by 2pm.

A good day and yet the waves still come. I've shared how times will come when a wave of grief and sorrow washes over me. Don't think that will ever change. In spite of all the good things going on...
today the wave came. To use a word from Bruce...this is very bittersweet.

I am thankful and looking forward to getting settled. Thank you for everything...love, Sue

 5/15/07 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A full day. Worked on 401 and also got things in the mail to Aaron and Brian. Brian's birthday is the 17th and Aaron's birthday is the 19th.

Here's Aaron's address while he's in San Antonio for training:

Capt. Aaron Leis
Building 214 Room 303
2944 Josue Sanchez
Brooks-City Base
San Antonio, Tx 78235

Things are coming together on the move, thanks to Sherri. Tomorrow Two Men and a Truck will be at the lakehouse to pack. Little do they know that there is little left to pack. The plan is to pack on Wed. Load the truck and leave Akron on Thurs. and arrive on HHI on Friday.

Lined up a storage area to store things til I can get to them. It's close by...right behind the Hilton Head Diner. It will be so good to get my things and get settled. All for now...Love, Sue

 5/14/07 cleaning, dancing and Jack...

A good day off...time to clean. More tomorrow. Talked with a man that resurfaces showers and tubs. I have a 70's style beige shower. To say it looks rather tired is being kind. This man's business is to paint them. He said it would look like the porcelain enamel on the commode. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...he also paints formica! Will let you know how it turns out. He thinks he will have time next week.

Have figured out how to listen to wcrf on my computer. It's really nice to tune in to 103.3 while I'm writing to you.

Talked to Sis...she said Aaron is going to his classes on base in San Antonio. His birthday is 5/19 and Brian's b'day is 5/17. Watched Dancing with the Stars and 24 tonight! Go Jack!

Please keep Cindy and Tom and the girls in your prayers. Tom will be doing the eulogy tomorrow at his father's funeral service.

 5/13/07 so thankful...

Worked today...actually, it was kind of sloooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwww! The day seemed 3 days long! It's much better to be busy. There were a number of customers that came in for last minute Mother's Day flowers at 3:30. (No comment) Yes, I was nice.

Did get to talk with 4 of the kids today...They are just great! ...and I am so blessed to have them close at heart. Sis is on call tonight and helping mommas have babies...Aaron left today for the special C-Cat school in San Antonio. Bruce is working his socks off in Columbus and will be busy with the summer program at the firm. DanaMarie is working hard and is on call tonight, too...and Brian has been crazy busy at his firm in Lexington. There's not a type B in the bunch!

Please pray for Aaron, as he starts preparing for his deployment. And please pray for Tom, Cindy, Kearstin, Chelsea and Tom's family. Tom's dad went home to be with the Lord. Cindy and the girls will be traveling tomorrow and the funeral service is Tuesday. Our hearts are with them.

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.

 5/12/07 Computer glitch!

No blogging yesterday. For reasons known only to God, my computer froze and refused to let me get online. Couldn't even shut if off. So unplugged her...and let the battery run down. Whatever...plugged her in today...and she was happy again! Who knows? Anyway, back and blogging away.

It was a fun/busy day at TFM. Lots of people buying flowers for Mom. Had one of my best money saving ideas today. Love that when it happens. One of the cashiers needed 6 Mothers Day arrangements...all on a $40 budget. Long story short...took one of the clear cellophane bags...put a block of h2o soaked oasis in it...covered it with moss...and did the arrangement in it. Cuffed the excess cello and tied it all up with a ribbon. It worked! Loved that!!!

I work 7-4pm tomorrow. Will let you know all about it. Take care and Happy Mother's Day. Love, Sue
