4/30/07 Belks loot, glass shelves and an electrician...

Took the loot from the sale yesterday to 401....looked at it in the bedrooms. Think we're on the right track .

After a bite to eat with Karen and a good bye...off to Bluffton...the glass shelves are now in the works. Back to 401 to meet the electrician. After talking to him...I was completely underwhelmed. Hmmm...decided to check in with the the guys at All About Pets. They have done a lot on the island and are a great resource. When I asked them for a good electrician...little did I know...one of the guys was an electrician in his former life. He's going to come over and give me an honest assessment and estimate. Thank you!!!

Am bushed tonight...but will tell you my story about Cathouse Beds tomorrow. And no...even though I loved it...I didn't get it!
Til tomorrow...Nighters!

 4/29/07 Sunday...

Time in the nursery at Grace started my day. It was girls day...all baby girls.....hot one little boy.

Then to Shelter Cove Mall to see if there were any sales on bedding. Did hit one at Belks. They also had a really neat event...kind of a Hilton Head does Iron Chef America! Great restaurants and great food all to raise funds to support a literacy program here on the island. It was really well done.

Then to connect with Karen Hamilton...she arrived safe and sound. A great dinner at the Sunset Grille...a beautiful sunset and all in an RV park! Your heard it right...it's kind of quirky...but it really works. In an RV park...a la HHI style.....in an old building right on the water...upstair on the second floor is a little restaurant with 12 tables. I kept hearing about it...Soooooooooooooooo fun and soooooooo delicious! It might be my new favorite....just after Old Fort Pub! It's still the best .

Sat and chatted with Karen til 1:30 a.m. Time to snooze...tomorrow is glass shelf and electrician day. Talk with you tomorrow. Good night.

 4/28/07 time to be organized!

The room planner on Value City Furniture's web site has become my new best friend. New rooms, no basement and no garage...now, that's going to take some planning. It's a wonderful tool...just enter the dimensions of the room and furniture and arrange-a-way!!!

Sherry and I talk on the phone and she is doing a wonderful job of helping me. She has most of the organizing and packing done at the lakehouse. (FYI...She has some time available, and if you need some help at home, I can't recommend her high enough. Without a doubt, she does the best job I've ever seen!!!)

Got an email from Karen Hamilton. She's traveling home from Florida. She's going to stop by Hilton Head tomorrow...we'll do dinner, she'll stay over and then continue on Monday.

Pastor Roy and the nursery in the morning. Have a blessed Sunday. Love, Sue

 4/27/07 Got Keys?

Yes, we closed and I have the keys. Actually, yesterday when I signed the papers, was the 100th day down here. When I was there today...I seem to like it even better with each trip over.

After tonight's Nip and Nibble at the Shipyard Beach Club...some of the neighbor's came by to toast my new digs. Funny thing, no power! The attorney had said they were going to notify Palmetto Electric...not so. Sooooo, I served champagne by candlelight to Elwood and the gang til the serviceman showed up and turned on the lights. It certainly gave a memorable twist to my first event at 401.

 4/26/07 Oops...

Thought I could multi-task at work. Eileen Benson called while I was cutting roses under water with this rose cutting gizmo. We were having a great chat til my cellie slipped... out from my shoulder and yes, you got it...landed right in the water. Cellies don't like water. All that to say...I have now lost all my phone numbers, so if you could please email me your phone numbers, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Then to the closing. It was so easy...I've had more trouble and its taken more time at Giant Eagle picking out a good turkey for Christmas, than buying 401 Harbourmaster. We were literally done in 15 minutes. Then back to work. I think I get the keys tomorrow after the Catalanos sign their papers.

Now I can really swing into gear. Talked to Roxie about stripping wallpaper...she said a steamer was the bomb! So........off to Home Depot. Did you know that you can rent one??? $30 a day! Think I'll give it a try.

Mitzi and Opal are excited about the new place...me, too. Thank you for praying.
