Did the final faxes to wire the funds for 401 Harbourmaster today. Also, sat and talked with Mr. Catalano, the gentleman that I'm buying the unit from. He is a very kind fellow from New Jersey. He and his wife have been lovely through this buying process.

Tomorrow I sign the documents and Friday we close. The past few days have been a flood of thoughts and feelings. It's hard sometimes to turn off my brain. One thought, being totally vain was...just think of the plastic work I could have done instead of getting a roof over my head... Decided that wasn't a good idea...this is a better plan. Excited...yes. Thankful...very. And still, ...the incredulity of all this ...can stop me in my tracks.
I love the sun, the island, working...and am truly so thankful. And then... And then I do the next thing. Thank you again and again, Elisabeth.

At home...Thank you for your love, your help...Bruce you have done more than I can ever repay...thank you for your prayers. Think of me tomrrow at 10:30 and say another prayer...I'll be at the attorneys office...signing the opening pages of the next chapter.

Back at work today...believe me...the first thing I checked on was the response of my customer to my big piece from last Thursday. Good news, she loved it. Thank heavens...since I was off Friday when she picked it up I wondered how it went.

Lots of faxing and details related to closing on Friday. Details, details... Basically, it's on track and I'm like a horse heading for the barn!

Mitzi and Opal went to the beauty parlor today. Mitzi has had a puppy cut which is really cute and works out great down here. Well, I told Lisa, the groomer, to give the same cut. Not a good plan. To quote Branka, (when she was talking about her friends dog that got clipped) she kind of looks like a topiary! Literally!!! Can't tell if she likes it or if she's mad at me

Up early tomorrow........sleep well.

Went to the third hairdresser today to get my roots done. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, not good. Still need to find a good colorist. Better yet...with I could do my own. It's nuts how much they charge. And people complain about their prescription co-pay!!! Go figure

Lots of calls and things set up on for the closing and the villa.
I'm excited to get the keys. Nightie...night.

I mentioned that I would tell you about dinner Thursday evening. I went out with two gals that live here at Harbourmaster. Here's the amazing thing... As we sat and talked, they shared about their lives. One gal had gone thru a divorce and had also suffered the pain of loosing a young daughter, ...she was hit by a car. The other had been divorced, found her husband in bed with the other woman, her sister was murdered and she found out that she was going blind...all within one month. This was after the disappointment of infertility and 5 miscarriages. She then adopted a child...and he has many special needs. She has very limited vision and needs help when we're walking because she is not able to see a step. Here's the unbelievable fact...she is as sweet, loving and tender as can be.

We sat there...3 gals in an Italian restaurant...looking very very ordinary and had experienced tremendous blows in life. (The people at the next table wouldn't have a clue.) I sat there thinking...Lord, don't let me miss it. Don't let me miss what I'm supposed to learn here... Don't know what that is yet...but I do know that pain and loss is no respecter of persons...a part of life...and in both of these cases...they took the hit...got up...and are continuing to move forward in a loving and giving way.

Off to Savannah with directions from Mapquest to the area I want to check out. Only one problem...once I hit Savannah, the directions told me to go east and I needed to go west Got turned around...and did find a really great bed for the kids room.

Dinner tonight with 2 gals from Harbourmaster and 3 gals from Atlanta. It was a nice time. After dinner, some of them headed down to the Quaterdeck. I came home to see Mitzi and Opal.

It was nice to be off today and get to work on things for the new place. Will head back tomorrow after church to buy the bed.
