Since Fridays are now my day off...slept in, cleaned, got a manicure and ran errands. In the midst of that, Rich and Thelma (of the earlybird special, remember...) invited me to go to the "Nip and Nibble" with them. It's 6-8...held at the Shipyard beach house, and everyone brings an appetizer and their drinks. It's attended by the folks that live at Harbourmaster... a nice group of people. Met a real character...Vera! She's a pistol.

Here's the best news...Rich and Thelma are "24" buffs and love the show! How's that for good news

So it's work Sat...church and the red carpet on Sunday...and Monday @ 9...4:00-5:00 p.m.!!! Have a nice weekend.

6:00 a.m. Alarm goes off...Hmmmmmmmm...It's another first day. Here we go, Lord...please help me.

7:00a.m. Arrive at Fresh Market and can't get in! Oh dear...What to do??? Fortunately, an earlybird from bakery saw me and opened the door. The Store opens at 9...I meet Debra and Bonnie. Bonnie is a manager...Debra floats and starts to show me the ropes. Halfway thru the morning...I have some time to myself and start to work on the gift area. New bows on the gift baskets...that seemed to help...edit out the "room dandruff"...organize and arrange items to do a new look in a large antique breakfront. At this point, am flying by the seat of my pants...(that's not new).....will wait for the Manager of my dept. and see if I'm on the right track. Laurie (manager of floral and gift dept.) comes in and pleased when she see's the new display. Whew! That's a good thing!

After driving an hour one way and then home to work at the Clinic...being less that 10 minutes from the store is really a nice. During my hour at lunch I come home and walk the girls. Off at 4 p.m.

I'm off on Fridays......so off tomorrow and back on Saturday. It was a good day...and I was so excited when I checked out and got 20% off!!! Thankful for a good first day...S.

Said good-bye to Cindy and Tom this morning. It was a great time !!!

Met with Mr. Realtor and looked around the area some more. I learn a little each time.

Off to Fresh Market in the morning to the floral and gift dept. Will let you know how it goes! At home tonight with Mitzi, Opal, Simon, Paula and Randy! Take care....Hugs, SJS

A good beach walk...and a lovely dinner at Old Fort Pub. It was fun to share my favorite restaurant with Cindy and Tom. The sunsets there are the best on the island. Got some great pictures... Tried to figure out how to send them to the blog to create a gallery. No luck...will keep trying. They are heading out in the morning. It's gone soooooooo fast.

A lovely lazy day...bagels at Woody's...a walk on the beach...saw starfish, sand dollars and Man of War jellyfish...down to South Beach and the Salty Dog for lunch. Watched the pelican's dive for their lunch...and we popped into the Salty Dog shop to check out this years supply of t-shirts and caps. The view from the Harbourtown lighthouse is still wonderful...saw the 18th green of the Harbourtown Golf Course. Cindy found four legged friends all along the way. The needlework shop at the Shops of Wexford produced a real "find"...!!! A very cool canvas of a Portugese water dog is going home to Copley. A stop at Coligny for coffe and ice cream...and then back to Harbourmaster for the evening.
@ 9 p.m. ....spent an hour with Jack!!! Where did ex-Pres. Logan come from? and where did Jack's dad go???
