Had a good cup of coffee with Sandy this morning...and a wonderfully long girlfriend chat. Thank heavens for cellies!!! Then time to do the simple housekeeping chores here at the villa. For the life of me...I do not understand why they call these villas! Sounds like I should have a staff and a handsome Italian driver, not to mention Dolce and Gabanna in my closet. (In my dreams.) Actually, this is a really easy little place to keep and I now understand why DanaMarie loves the tile and her new home in Louisville. It's a dream to keep up.

After the now usual routine of working out and paperwork...decided to check out the Volunteers in Medicine free clinic here on the island. I was surprised...it was Closed. Hmmm...will have to do that next week. Off to check out the Hilton Head library. Closed. So another task for next week. No problem...I'll go to the mall and get something for the girls to send them for Valentine's Day...you guessed it! Closes at 7 p.m. It's going to be a Blockbuster evening. Mitzi and Opal were at the beauty salon today and send their best regards.

Rainy day...very rainy. After getting put thru my paces by Christina at the gym, decided to pop into HHI Hospital and see if there were some continuing ed opportunities for CEU's offered in the area. You've head of "gym rats"...guess I'll always be a hospital rat:) Once in...found my way to the nursing office...chatted with the nurse educator...met the nursing leadership and talked with Julie in HR. Keep in mind...I had just finished working out! Not a pretty sight. They couldn't have been nicer and are very proud of their 97 bed hospital. Believe it...they are doing open hearts! Unbelievable!

Jannie left this morning and is back home in Stow. Didn't want to see her go. We had sooooooooo much fun. How often do you get to have really good belly laughs? You know...the "'til you are crying belly laughs." We had more fun at the card shop than you can possibly imagine. Back on the island, the big event of my day was meeting and working out with Christina @ 4. Oh my gosh, I might be in trouble. She's little...but she's mighty. This will be interesting. Not sore yet...emphasis on the YET!

Last day of Jannie's visit. A good beach walk...time looking at condos and townhouses in Shipyard that made me appreciate this little place even more...and dinner at my personal fav...Old Fort Pub. An actual fort from the Civil War. General Sherman was there for awhile. Very Cool...with absolutely amazing gum trees complete with Spanish moss. That setting...at sunset...Just beautiful. The shrimp etouffee was deelish! Pecan pie...not as good as Grandma's...but then nobody will ever top that !!!
