Next week at this time Bruce will be here!!! That's a good thing. Can't wait!!! He'll be here Thurs---Sunday.

Off tomorrow...clean, manicure, workout...then the Fresh Market Friday...til he gets here. That should be interesting. 5 days in a row... I think I'll get one of those little pedometer thingy's and see how many miles I log.

It was a good day. I can't believe the amount of flowers that go out the door. Did 25 gift bags for the Marriot...kind of like gift bags for a small wedding..... without the tulle! They were happy with them and also a couple of custom gift baskets. They were done with items all related to Italian food. Finished it off with a red, white and green ribbon bow (lg, of course..)...complete with wooden spoon. They were fun. Actually, having done so much of this stuff over the years...it's kind of fun doing it as a job. The classical music in the background is nice, too.

Time to finish my tea and hit the hay. I'm bushed...

Tonight was the Fresh Market fundraiser to benefit Safe Kids. It's an organization that promotes safety for children...helmets, car seats...that sort of thing for kids that otherwise wouldn't get the equipment. Tickets were $25 and for that guests enjoyed 10 serving stations with hors d'oeuvres and 40 types of wine and champagne. Here's the scoop...all the food and wine are donated...100% clear profit! 100% corporate donation by Fresh Market! My girlfriends that have also done fundraisers are also licking their chops! It was a really nice evening.

There were 225 guests... and they all looked happy. It probably had something to do with all the corks I saw laying around on the tables! The food was lovely...and we kept bringing out trays of at least 5, 000,000 hors d' oeuvres.

I started at 3:30...and popped out the center piece for the table when they walked in. Used a basket as the container. You know the kind...it has space for two wine bottles in the front and an area about 4x10 in the back. Put a loaf of french bread on the left and a bottle of Rodney Strong cab on the right. Picture greens...ferns,bear grass,ect, curly willow...about 3 ft tall coming out of the back
two types of moss, red roses, lg yellow fuji mums, white bells, and green grapes tumbling down between the wine and bread .

They were happy!

After working at the Fresh Market today, met Mr. Tingle at 4. He's the real estate agent that lives here in Harbourmaster. Looked at a few more properties. I always learn something with each outing. Hmmmmmmm...Interesting, even tempting at times, but going to stick to my game plan. One thing, ...I could look for a long time...there is a lot on the market!

At this point, I'm seriously considering buying an RV...that way, I could just take my home with me...visit my kids and my girlfriends...then I drive past a BP and regular is $2.29! So much for the idea of hitting the road! CyberHugs...Sue

At the Fresh Market today...I continue to learn the staff and what I'm supposed to do. Designed a custom basket today for a lady banker, that was fun...and she was pleased. That's a good thing

Got to the gym...that's a challenge after work. Would be soooooooooo easy to not go! Need to keep that up.

Helped Jack tonight! Can't believe he's working with Logan ...don't know about that...what do you think?

Watching the Ocsars...of course we must...MUST dish a bit. Cameron Diaz...great white gown...Nic ...you looked stunning in the red with the bow...Helen made 61 look gorgeous...and Penelope stole the red carpet in her drop waisted flesh toned ball gown with train. Classic and classy. Then... in clomped Meryl...can I just say...Girlfriend, on our worst day...we could do better! What was with the red necklace, jade turtle, that schmatta (sp. but Suzy will know) and bedraggled coif! Meryl, girl, your gorgeous...now go back and get something out of your wardrobe from Prada!!! And send us your handbags!!!

Overall, I'd give Ellen and Oscar a 4...Pastor Roy this morning...a 9.5
