Took Shirley to hear Pastor Roy. His message was great...and yes, he had his visual aides. Cans...as in Campbells Soup, pumpkin and green beans to name a few. He removed the labels. His point...avoid labels...know that only God really knows what's in the inside...our job...ignore the label and love the cans. Simple ......yes. Easy.........no, ...but good..very, very good.
Dropped Shirley off at the airport in Savannah and headed back to HHI for a get together with folks from work. One of the gals I work with is leaving so we got together at "Up The Creek"...a little watering hole for locals at one of the marinas.
Tomorrow I start a 4 day seminar in Savannah. Will drive back and forth each day. Leave and 6:45 and home around 6:30. The blessing is...it's close...I can drive...and don't have to fly somewhere and stay in a hotel. The conference is Level 1- Training Program as a Bereavement Facilitator. Hope it's good...because sitting on my duff for 4 days sounds absolutely ghastly! It better be good!!!
Tomorrow's topics are Anticipatory Grief-Understanding the Dying Patient; The Family System Confronting Death-Assessment and Intervention; Bereavement Support Groups-What They are and How They Work;Group Dynamics and Leadership-Feedback, Continuing Ed and Supervision.
Like I said, I sure hope it's good. The course was $650.00 plus gas, time away from work, meals...by Thurs...this will easily be nearly a thousand $$$'s. Part Two of the training is 3 days in Chicago in May.
Just got a call from Shirley...she's back in Lauderdale heading to Boca with Joe.

Have a good Monday.
Take care......
Much love, Sue
